Today was the very first time that my daughter voted. Today is also Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent. Furthermore, today marks one month until my 41st birthday.
I’m proud of my daughter for doing her civic duty and making her voice heard. I gave my sweet husband the option of pancakes for supper at home or dinner out at our favorite local Mexican food establishment – he chose the latter. I sent my darling husband my Pinterest board entitled “my wish list” last week in hopes of getting something from it for my birthday.
Central Texas has seen more than its usual share of wintry weather this season and today, I was blessed with an abundant amount of ice attached to cars that I needed to drive to get me from point A to point B. I must admit that I miss the 100+ temperatures of summer right about now.
