Today is the first work day of the second full week of 2016.
I am participating in the 52 Week Money Challenge and am doing pretty good so far, if I do say so myself. *wink* I have added $6 cash, a $10 Target gift card, and a $15 Walmart gift card to my jar in these first eleven days of the year.
The end # goal of this money challenge is $1378.00 and I hope to have more than that saved up by the last day of the year. The gift cards will most likely be used for Christmas 2016. I want the cash to accumulate.
My ultimate goal is to follow the Dave Ramsey money method and have a $1000 emergency fund, then snowball debt reduction. As we live paycheck to paycheck and sometimes from day-to-day, accumulating a savings fund has been difficult. We are both spenders. We both enjoy shopping for different things. We also rotate out our collections when space and/or money requirements, well, require.
We are working toward bringing my sewing station inside the house from the workshop and in doing so, I will begin production on 2016 handmade items. These creations will be listed in my Square marketplace and available on the SHOP page of this site.
And so… the point of this post… Progress. I am making progress.
40-something mama, wife, blogger – who shares her crafty and ordinary life with her family, their three tiny dogs, a fat tortoiseshell cat, – and sewing room that is in a perennial work in progress.
A native Texan, who spent one year in Georgia and over a decade as a single mom, is now happily married and sharing her opinions on products and life in photos and words strung together.
