When I think of Texas, I think of home and the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. That’s Jason Aldean on the stage – performing back in 2010.
The spaceman birthday cake was made by a local lady for my darling husband’s 36th birthday, also in 2010. The pan once belonged to his mom and was used for one of his birthdays in elementary school. I just *had* to re-use it. And Houston, Texas will always be Space City to me. The overlapping highways remind me of something out of The Jetson’s cartoon of our youth.
When I think of Texas, I think of friendly people and good country music. I think of wearing shorts on Christmas Day, February being super icy and the coldest time of the year, rain and thunderstorms on the third weekend of May, and the longest part of any road trip is getting out of my favorite state.
